MY ALLSTATE HORROR STORY

Allstate Insurance Sucks

My story is not a horror story like most of the ones I've read, but I just thought of sharing it with someone.

It all started when I made a purchase from Sears in October, 1999, and started making my monthly payments. My last payment was this last January, but I kept getting billed $10, but this bill did not come from Sears but from Allstate Accidental Death Insurance. I guess they started billing me because they said I "had agreed to and accepted to purchase this service" which I never did.

So to make the story short, I've been paying this Accidental Death Insurance for over six months without my knowing. I called them and of course they said they had proof that I or somebody in my house had authorized that I get this service. They said they would play the tape of me agreeing to get this accidental death insurance and I would have to pay the past 3 months I haven't paid. Please, anyone, give me some advice as to what I should do to get a refund of the six months I paid without knowing.

Thank you, Ruby.

Our Only Hope

Allstate Insurance Sucks"There is no incentive for insurance companies to do what is right, such as live up to the promises made in their policies. Tort reformers fueled by insurance money think big business and the insurance industry need to be protected against "runaway juries." It's the other way around. Big business and the insurance industry have always been able to take care of themselves. The little people need protection from them. This country was founded on the common law right of the little guy to get into court with his hired gun to fight the oppressor, be it big government or big business. Take that away and we have nothing left. Look around. It's being whittled away, bit by bit, caps on damages here, restrictions on jury trials there. It won't end until we recognize the enemy and join together to take a stand against them. It will take the little people to do this together".
